This paper presents a methodology called SHARC developed for the simulation and analysis of ship's damage stability ULS conditions following collision. combines three types methods: advanced nonlinear finite element simulations that simulate collision scenario, dynamic tool SIMCAP, modified Smith method collision-damaged ship structure. The novelty presented is it can be used real-time to study ingress water through opening struck vessel how affects stability, structural integrity (ULS) survival capability against, e.g., capsizing. results an intact damaged oil tanker under noncorroded corroded various sea states are demonstrate features SHARC.
